New definition of outdoors enters review

Draft V-04.8: beyond a pressure door

The previous definition relied on weather, which the Moon has declined to provide. The new test uses pressure boundary, public access, exposure to unmediated dust, and whether a ribbon-cutting requires helmets.

An airlock is neither wholly indoors nor safely a plaza.
A sealed kiosk is indoors for the vendor and outdoors for the queue.
A bus shelter without a bus remains outdoors.
A crater may be a room only by unanimous geological consent.
